About the Curator:

HUCK THENG, CH'NG

 

This year marks Huck Theng Ch’ng’s 21 years in the art industry following a successful career as a well-known artist and sculptor. Whilst furthering his studies in Australia in 1994, Ch’ng picked up his artistic skills. From thereon he has travelled extensively on his very own artistic journey, drawing inspiration from his acute observations of the correlation between man, nature and society. 

 

 

His works are collected not only in Malaysia but also around the world by respected institutions including the National Visual Art Gallery Malaysia, Singapore Art Museum, Hong Kong University Museum & Gallery, Shanghai Art Museum and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (ENSBA) in Paris.

 

 

Ch’ng is also very supportive of the local art, culture and drama scenes. He has written many books on these topics such as The Journey, Brain Imaging, I Can Draw and Penang Chinese Performing Art.
